Crude firms as OPEC+ signals a cautious approach to output

Brent futures settled the European morning at 74.18 dollars a barrel, up 0.84 percent, with WTI at 70.35 dollars.

The move followed illustrative commentary in this dataset indicating that producers will restore withheld barrels gradually rather than in a single tranche.

Demand-side indicators remain the counterweight. Sample refinery run rates across Asia are running slightly below the same period last year, limiting the upside for now.

Traders will watch weekly inventory data mid-week for confirmation of the drawdown trend.
